Plea for help at night-time charity event
ORGANISERS of Cancer Research UK’s Shine Glasgow have put out a call to people across the city to help out at this year’s event.
The charity is appealing for 300 volunteers to lend a hand at the night-time event in Glasgow on Saturday, September 10.
Organisers are hoping 5000 people will take to the streets on the night, illuminating Glasgow in an inspirational procession of light, passing landmarks such as the Peoples Palace and the Botanic Gardens.
The charity hopes Shine Glasgow will raise as much as 1million for life-saving research.
